Vitamix Sponsors Culinary Vegetable Institute’s
2009 Food and Wine Celebration

Annual Gourmet Event to Benefit Non-Profit
Children’s Organization, Veggie U

OLMSTED FALLS, OH – July 14, 2009 –  For the third year in a row, Vitamix, the world leader in high-performance blending equipment, is a sponsor of Culinary Vegetable Institute’s 2009 Food and Wine Celebration. The event will feature gourmet cuisine prepared by chefs from all over the country, wines from top vineyards, cooking demonstrations, book signings, musical entertainment, and an exclusive auction of culinary items.

All proceeds from the 2009 Food and Wine Celebration will benefit the non-profit children’s organization, Veggie U, which is committed to combating childhood obesity through education. Veggie U provides children with “Earth To Table™” science kits to teach them about sustainable farming and healthy eating habits. Vitamix will continue to team up with Veggie U on additional partnerships throughout 2009.

The Culinary Vegetable Institute’s 2009 Food and Wine Celebration will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, on the grounds of The Culinary Vegetable Institute, 12304 Ohio Route 13 in Milan, Ohio. The Culinary Vegetable Institute is a learning center for chefs and farmers to share knowledge, experiment and discover techniques for growing and preparing the most flavorful varieties of vegetables in the world.
